YANKEE HOOD AND AUXILIARY SYSTEMS 

Following the development of tissue machines, with ever higher temperatures and speeds, it became necessary to develop the Yankee hoods to increase their blowing speed and temperature.
Fomat designs ‘taylor made’ hoods and air systems to meet the specific customer requirements, with operation temperature up to 700°C  and series AHT and BI-HOT. Some technical features of the hoods:

• Higher air distribution.
• Maintenance of the jet axial-symmetric shape.
• Less thermal stress.
• Minimum pressure losses.
• Better profile control.

Aiming to reduce energy costs, our drying systems are equipped with energy recovery devices for production of high or low pressure steam, air heating for thermo-ventilation systems and heating of process water, as well as conditioning of control room. 
 These equipment designed according to the needs of our customers allow to achieve an extremely high performance, denying the public opinion that drying mostly with the Yankee is energetically more convenient.
